Official
language |
| | The
official language of the Congress is English. Simultaneous translation into and
from Spanish and Italian will be available in all sessions taking place in the
Auditorium. |

Accreditation |
| |
The
Congress has been accredited by the WPA; by the European Accreditation
Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME), an institution
of the European Union of Medical Specialists; by the American
Medical Association (AMA); and by the Italian Minister of Health.
The WPA has granted 30 CME credits for the participation in the
Congress plus 3 credits for the participation in each Advanced
Course. The EACCME has granted 18 European CME credits (ECMEC)
for the participation in the Congress. The AMA has approved the
Congress for a maximum number of Category 1 credits: one credit
may be claimed for each hour of participation. The Italian Minister
of Health has accredited the Update Lectures, the Forums and the
Advanced Courses. (further information is available at the CME
desk in the Registration Area). |

Publication
of abstracts |
| | The
abstracts of all contributions accepted for inclusion in the scientific programme
of the Congress will be published in a supplement to the journal World Psychiatry. |

Projections |
| | PowerPoint
projection will be available in all meeting rooms. Equipment for projection of
slides or transparencies will not be available. Speakers are requested to bring a
CD-Rom or floppy disk with their presentation to the Slide Center (Pavilion
A, ground floor) at least three hours before the beginning of their session
(or, if their session starts at 8.30, by 17.00 on the previous day). |

commercial and non-commercial exhibition will be organized. |

| | Posters
should be placed between 9.00 and 10.00 on the day in which the presentation
is scheduled, and removed on the same day between 18.00 and 19.00.
The presenting author should be available near the poster for the entire
poster session. |

How
to reach Florence |
| | The
Florence and Pisa airports are served by several international airlines. The distance
between the Florence airport and the city centre is 4 km (the cost of a taxi ride
is about Euro 20). The distance between the Pisa airport and the Florence centre
is about 90 Km (a shuttle train operates every hour; the trip lasts about one
hour). Eurostar trains connect Florence with Rome (1 hr and 35 min) and Milan
(2 hrs and 45 min). The main railway station in Florence is located just in front
of the Congress Centre. |
